Description

"Irish Goddess "Áine" is one of the 10 cards included on the    “Wisdom of The Woods”™ Celtic Tree Oracle   Expansion deck. She is one of the feminine deities most related to Nature, Agriculture, Summer, Wealth, and Fertility. Along with Arianrhod and Anu, Aine is one of the three Celtic Moon Goddesses related with fertility; she also retains for herself the virtue of being a Moon and a Sun Goddess"

Divinatory Meaning

"Because of her associations with fire and water, she is also linked with healing. It was believed that she regulated the vital spark of life's fire, which, like the sun's daily traverses of the sky, circulated through the body every 24 hours.

If bloodletting occurred on her sacred days, which were the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday prior to Lughnasadh, it was thought the sacred life spark would flow from the body and the patient would die.

Aine is therefore deeply rooted with both the life-giving sun itself, and the sun's power in the human body, through which the spark was thought to travel by means of the blood. These folklore remains point to the fact that in days of old there must have been a full, rich tradition of healing in which Aine - as the spark of life, the sun-spark within the blood - played a significant part.

With her power she keeps on nurturing the divine seeds on us. As a Mother Goddess she has been with us from the beginning of our lives, since the first moment we were created, and shall always remain with us.

As a Queen of the Light, she watch us over day and night and caresses us with her soothing care. Call upon her and we shall come to you, For she brings to us her full shining face and bathes us with her warming love.

Whichever path you take, walk along with the moon of your Ancients, and constantly pray for Áine’s glowing splendor, and healing power. Blessed be the days for having their nights, Blessed be the nights for bearing her sheer Light."
